Channel Seaways originally started as a once a month freight service from Torbay – Alderney.

With the involvement of Alderney Shipping the frequency of service increased as did the coverage of the services.

Today the route is served by two ships, the M.V. Isis and M.V. Burhou I and is operated out of Poole.  There is a once weekly  service to Guernsey and Jersey.

Added to this we now offer a full door to door service which allows for nationwide collections/deliveries coupled with Island  wide collections / deliveries.  This point to point service allows for complete logical solutions allowing customers piece of mind.

The Company is locally owned with its base in Guernsey, but its roots firmly lie in Alderney.

Cargo handling techniques have also changed over the years.  Goods are now shipped in 10’, 20’ or 40’ ISO units although in   the case of out of gauge or project cargoes these maybe shipped loose.

Customer satisfaction and getting the job done well are main aim of Channel Seaways.  Whilst saying ‘No’ maybe easier we   prefer to say ‘Yes’ and try and satisfy the customers requirements.
